Lowick and the Surrounding Area

 Lowick is a small quiet rural village which despite its size has much to offer to visitors.
It is also called " The Gateway to the Cheviots". The cheviots are the Hills in the local area.
There are 2 public houses, The Black Bull and The White Swan, a shop/post office and a gallery/coffee shop.

One of the main attractions in the area is Lindisfarne and coupled with that the St Cuthberts Way.
 St Cuthbert's Way is a 62-mile (100 km) walk through attractive and highly varied countryside between the Scottish Borders town of Melrose and Lindisfarne (Holy Island) off the coast of Northumberland
St Cuthbert was a 7th Centuary saint who spent his life in service of the church in this area.

Lindisfarne is probably one of the best known landmarks on the North East coast of England.
Reached only by a tidal causeway it has featured in many films.

Lindisfarne Castle is a Romantic 16th-century castle with spectacular views, transformed by Lutyens into an Edwardian holiday Home
Lindisfarne Monastary was also home to St Aiden and St Cuthbert
 

Further to the North there is the Town of
Berwick upon Tweed.
It's well preserved Elizabethan fortifications surround the town centre with easy access allowing visitors to walk along the walls.
It is a picturesque coastal town with a turbulent History
The Barracks museum is well worth a visit
